About Us
We take great care in looking after our environment, after all the country is our office and the sea our playground. We have a paper free office (where possible) and re-cycle all waste. Our vehicles also boast the highest economy rating.
In 2018 we began an anti-singleuse plastic campaign. You can read more about it on our Charity page,

Ollie Horton
Ollie, from the Channel Island of Guernsey, found the Island his home away from home for 30 years, before finally settling here in 2013. He was drawn by his love of the Island, its sunshine and amazing waves. Previously, Ollie worked as an Investment Manager in the finance industry for 12 years. Since being in Lanzarote Ollie has worked in both the tourism and property sectors. Ollie´s always enjoyed a glass of wine (or two!) and has developed his knowledge of winemaking and viticulture. which particularly fascinated him here on Lanzarote. He now holds the WSET Level 2 Award in Wines & Spirits which he passed with distinction. After work, there´s a good chance you will find him in the water!

Anita Sanz Sanchez
Anita, originally from Madrid came to live in Lanzarote in 2006, after “completely falling in love” with the Island during a holiday. Anita soon developed her passion for surfing, as well as her work as an official tour guide of the Island. Anita has previously worked with large tour groups across the major tourist attractions, trained with the Wine Tours Lanzarote team to learn all things wine! Anita is passionate about the “real” Lanzarote and the exclusive and dedicated attention the team gives to its guests, not to mention the wineries we visit. Anita is now prouder holder of the WSET Level 2 Certificate.

Dan Priestley
Dan originally from Newcastle, arrived in Lanzarote in 2013 and has worked in various sports coaching roles on the Island. Like all of us, Dan has a love of the Island’s climate, culture and natural beauty. Living in the countryside, Dan is a keen amateur gardener and always has something bearing fruit in his garden. Dan is also a holder of the Wines and Spirits Education Trusts Level 2 Qualification in Wines & Spirits. He´s recently carried on his family’s tradition of making homemade fruit wines, though it’s yet to be seen if his house will find its way onto our list of bodegas! Outside of work, Dan is one of the Island’s strongest swimmers and a keen surfer.

Cheryl Harding
Cheryl arrived in Lanzarote in October 1991 working as a holiday rep. Originally sent as staff cover for 2 months, she never left! Drawn in by the Island and the wonderful friends she met.
During her time here through both work and leisure, Cheryl has had the privilege of meeting many interesting and authentic islanders (Conejeros); learning from them about the island from first hand anecdotes and stories. All this has been put to good use working as an a guide from 1999 looking after guests from around the world. Of course, being on the Island so long, you can’t help but really appreciate its wines! Cheryl didn’t waste any time during the pandemic to formalise this love; she studied and sat the WSET Level 2 exam which she passed with distinction!
Away from work, Cheryl spends the “winter” months trekking (exploring off the beaten track) and in the gym. She is also very creative, loving all kinds of arts and crafts!

Angela Paterson
Angela settled in Lanzarote in 2008, enchanted by its magic and outdoor sports, especially open water swimming.
In the UK, her love of wine commenced whilst sharing an apartment with a South African and many a bottle of wine were shared over numerous games of Scrabble!
This love of wine continued whilst travelling the world where Angela enjoyed visiting vineyards in Australia, New Zealand, and Chile.
Experienced in teaching, banking and the travel and tourism sectors, Angela has developed strong connections to, and knowledge of the people, traditions and landscape of Lanzarote and loves to share this kinship and island insights with our clients.

Alessandra Cavallaro
Alessandra, the WSET Wine Educator on a mission. Originally from Milan and tired of city life, she moved to Lanzarote in 2022 to learn surfing and specialise in the wines of the Canary Islands, with a focus on Lanzarote.
With 14 years of experience in the wine industry, from working as a sommelier to hands-on winemaking experience, she has a glass (or maybe a bottle) full of stories to share. When she’s not working or drinking wine, you can find her trying to catch the waves, trekking with her dog through Lanzarote’s stunning landscapes, or getting creative with ceramics, proving that life’s better when you have a variety of passions (and a glass of wine to enjoy them with).

Nieves Justo
Nieves, originally from Sevilla, first came to the Island in 2010. Her dream then became a reality in 2014, when she finally moved to Lanzarote to work in one of the Islands biggest vineyards, Vega de Yuco, the maker of the famous ‘blue bottle’ wines. Among many other things, Nieves ran their winery tours so was an ideal fit with the Wine Tours Lanzarote team. She holds her WSET Level 2 qualification (with distinction!) and like the rest of the team, enjoys her free time by the beach or in the sea.
