Our Team :

Ollie Horton

Ollie, from the Channel Island of Guernsey, found the Island his home away from home for 30 years, before finally settling here in 2013. He was drawn by his love of the Island, its sunshine and amazing waves. Previously, Ollie worked as an Investment Manager in the finance industry for 12 years. Since being in Lanzarote Ollie has worked in both the tourism and property sectors.  Ollie´s always enjoyed a glass of wine (or two!) and has developed his knowledge of winemaking and viticulture. which particularly fascinated him here on Lanzarote. He now holds the WSET Level 2 Award in Wines & Spirits which he passed with distinction.  After work, there´s a good chance you will find him in the water!

Paddy Wright

Paddy, originally from Dublin, Ireland, has been living & teaching Surfing in Lanzarote since 2014.  He was due to stay for 6 months, but instead fell in love with the weather, the surf and the Island’s landscape and has been here ever since.  Prior to Lanzarote, Paddy’s background was in the NGO Environmental Education sector.  Paddy, who holds a B.A. in Outdoor Education & Geography & the WSET Level 2 Award in Wines & Spirits, finds the history, culture and sustainability of Lanzarote winemaking fascinating and enjoys sharing this unique story with others. If you’re looking for him outside of work hours, he will more than likely be trying to ride down the face of a wave!

Irene di Summa

Irene, with roots in the wine regions of Tuscany and Puglia in Italy, couldn’t help but love wine!  Passionate about travel, nature, good weather and the sea, in 2016 she settled in Lanzarote to follow her passions and pursue the lifestyle she desired.  Irene especially loves the stories hidden behind each bottle of wine, which means she is never short of a story in Lanzarote! Irene loves the natural environment of the Island and after work you can find her doing yoga at the seaside or writing for her blog, while enjoying a glass of our great wine.

Cristian Chieregati

Cristian, coming from Turin in Italy, discovered Lanzarote and like many of us here fell in love with the Island at first sight. Passionate about everything wine, he studied as a Sommerlier in Italy (AIS) and still enjoys extending his knowledge and keeping up to date, through his wine blog, Il Nomade de Vino.  Away from work, Cristian loves the sea and how the raw natural beauty of the Island contrasts with the dominant colours of Lanzarote, which have been preserved by Cesar Manrique.  In his freetime he enjoys exploring the Island and putting his feet up afterwards, watching the sunset with a glass of Malvasia Volcanica!

Dan Priestley

Dan originally from Newcastle, arrived in Lanzarote in 2013 and has worked in various sports coaching roles on the Island.   Like all of us, Dan has a love of the Island’s climate, culture and natural beauty.  Living in the countryside, Dan is a keen amateur gardener and always has something bearing fruit in his garden.  Dan also loves experimenting with wines and recently he’s carried on his family’s tradition of making homemade fruit wines, though it’s yet to be seen if his house will find its way onto our list of bodegas!  Outside of work, Dan is one of the Island’s strongest swimmers and a keen surfer.
